I remember ‘summer’ back when it was a holiday for pretty much everyone – this for me usually involved a long haul flight back to Stockholm so I could spend four weeks pretending 15 degree water as phenomenal and enjoying a staple diet of freshly picked strawberries and watching a sun that never went down.
These are some of the fondest memories of my time in back in my home town, and I miss them something crazy from time to time.
Australian summer is different, it’s the cool bigger brother with sea-salty hair, a surf board and not a care in the world. Add a dash of fluro and glass of rosé and you’ve got summer. This is exactly my plan over the next few weeks to squeeze every single last drop out of my favorite season.
